JENN’S STORY

“I had the pleasure of spending a week with complete strangers that quickly became some of the largest cheerleaders, confidants, and sisters. One of these ladies was Jenn. I’m not sure there are even words to describe her. She loved hard, had a smile that could light up a room, an infectious laugh, knew every single song that played, and danced her heart out. She was the epitome of life. She lived it to the fullest and never took a moment for granted. 

Over the course of that week, we worked together to overcome hard lies we had been told, we sat with each other as we did the hard work for the heart work and Jenn never once wavered. She stood tall, took her truth and ran with. She we burned those lies and walked away stronger and braver than before. 

Jenn, was a reminder that dynamite comes in small packages, I still don’t know how her larger than life personality fit in that small body, but I thank God that He gave her that and that He gave us her. We still have miles to go.” Fellow camper, Tammy 

I first met Jenn at one of our Gathering’s at Round Top, and after that she came to every event possible!! She helped at retreats, and workshops, and even did a few in her home!! She loved to art, one of her wishes was to just come sit at the property and create for hours, it was an amazing time!! I saw Jenn do the hard work, and love that little inner child!  In June of 2019, Jenn was diagnosed with lung cancer.  She fought a valiant fight for 3 years!! Her tribe rallied, linked arms, and carried her and her family. We got tattoo’s together, gathered in the streets with umbrella’s when she came home from her first treatment, and celebrated allllll the things!! She loved to celebrate.  

Jenn’s friends and family saw the light come back on after she went to Rest, Restore, Roar.  They noticed, hmmmm, she’s changed and done hard work!! We created Jenn’s Brave Scholarship to pass on her love to others who want to come to camp!!!
